I went on two job interviews the other day. I prefer to remain a stay-at-home Dad, but circumstances won't allow it. I have to return to the job market.
I haven't been on an interview in three years. Consequently I forgot all the stupid questions they ask. Well, they seem stupid to me, but from an employer standpoint, they seem logical.
Luckily they were both for Graphic/Production positions. The second interview started at 1:30 and I didn't leave till after 4pm. Mentally exhausting.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Describe your personality. Why did you leave this position or that position. What kind of managing style do you prefer. Do you answer them truthfully or answer the way you think they want you to?
One woman in the interview process had an extremely limp handshake. Like a piece of lettuce that had been left out a day or so. The next woman tried to squeeze my hand off. Crazy stuff.
I am not going to expect a call back from either of them. I was too rusty in the interviews.
Back to the job boards.
This is one man's opinion.
